Tacos & Tequilas plans Midtown location

Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill is planning a new location in Midtown, grabbing the last spot in a shopping center across from the future Ponce City Market.  On Nov. 18, a permit was filed in Atlanta for the roughly 6,000-square-foot restaurant at 650 Ponce de Leon Ave. Construction is costing about $150,000, according to the permit.

Tacos & Tequilas, it appears, is taking the former spot of Deckard’s American Tavern at Midtown Place, a shopping center anchored by Home Depot and Whole Foods. Deckard’s closed about a year ago.

Coro Realty Advisors LLC, the company that leases space at Midtown Place, couldn’t be immediately reached for comment. But, according to the company's website, Midtown Place now is 100 percent leased.  Tacos & Tequilas currently has two locations in Buckhead and Cumming.
